IPL Auction 2024

The IPL Auction 2024 took place in Dubai on December 19. The auction had an 11:30 AM local time, 1:00 PM IST start. It was the 17th IPL auction, with the last one held in December 2022. The auction featured 333 cricketers including 214 Indians and 119 overseas players.

The total salary cap available to spend in the  auction was ₹262.96 crore. Gujarat Titans had the highest purse of ₹38.15 crore, and Lucknow Super Giants had the lowest of ₹13.15 crore. The ten IPL franchises filled 77 slots, including 30 overseas players. They had already retained and released players ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. Furthermore, Kolkata Knight Riders had 12 available places in the team, including four reserved for overseas players. The  auction featured 333 cricketers, including 214 Indian and 119 overseas, of which two were from associate nations. There were 116 capped players and 215 uncapped players in the mini-auction.
